Evan Stuber
Portfolio Manager, Jedburgh Partners II
“Volatility is mean reverting.”
Evan Stuber is the Portfolio Manager of Jedburgh Partners II LP. Mr. Stuber started trading options and volatility in 2010 and has been trading full-time since 2018. His quantitative approach was born from his previous career in the U.S. Intelligence Community where he was responsible for training data scientists and intelligence analysts on custom software used to process, analyze and disseminate finished intelligence products derived from large datasets.
After completing a five-year enlistment as a Human Intelligence Collector in the U.S. Army and deploying to Iraq, Mr. Stuber worked for eight more years as a contractor in numerous organizations across the Intelligence Community. His roles in interrogation and human source operations led to his positions in analysis, and ultimately a software role where he realized data science and the use of large datasets to devise probabilities in counter-terrorism operations were skills easily transferred to derivatives, investing and financial markets.
Mr. Stuber graduated from the University of Maryland Europe, where he studied while stationed in Germany. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Intelligence Studies from the American Military University. Evan is conversational in Mandarin, German and Arabic.
